Lakeshore Medical Campus
Location: Holland, MI
Size: 92,000 Sq. Ft.
Construction Type: Conventional Steel
Project Scope: New Construction
Delivery Method: Design/Build
Start Date: June 1999
Completion Date: October 2000
Description:

The three buildings in Holland's Lakeshore Medical Campus are pre-engineered steel frame with masonry envelope and slope roof. The buildings feature an innovative design which uses geometric lines and irregular angles to make the shape of the building more responsive to the site and create a more pleasant "non-boxed" building.

With over 92,000 square feet of space constructed, its hard to believe there is still room for the medical campus to grow adding a fourth building as the need arises. The developers in this project took special care in blending the medical buildings into the woodland setting incorporating a nature park, water pond, and trees throughout the campus. The unique design of the 13-acre campus allows for breaking down the "stereotypical institutional, hospital-like" feel, allowing for more personalized treatment of patients with their specialized doctors.
